About the Event

Join CCA and Young Aggies Moree for a Bus tour and Field Walk to look at local cotton variety trials 

This event is designed to give early career agronomists the opportunity to meet their peers, build networks and ask questions in a friendly learning environment. 

Develop some key decision making skills in both irrigated and dryland cotton.

Take the opportunity to learn from experienced agronomists and researchers about 

• Traits of the varieties and why they have been selected for the region
• Plant physiology and management
• Canopy management and defoliation strategies
• Soil and disease considerations for sustainable long-term cropping systems.

The Field Walk will be followed by a BBQ at the Moree Golf Club where you can meet and network with  CCA members and Corporate Partners.

The sites will be visited by bus to ensure farm biosecurity and to hear from guest speakers on the journey.

Where: The meeting point for the Field Tour is the Moree Golf Club - 2 Greenbah Rd, Moree NSW 2400 (parking is available on site)

Date and time: Thursday the 19th February - 2pm -5pm NSW time
